I was hoping to get some other reader info and input on which fireplace logs would look best in my house. I was looking for a fake fireplace log rather than a normal wood burning log obviously and I don’t know where to start my search.
I found what I thought was a pretty good youtube video the other day and wanted to share it with you guys as well, since you probably are looking for a fake fireplace log as well as I.
I did ask my local Lowes store which logs last longer than others and they said that a Blueflame log seems to last longer and look more realistic than other brands. I hope so, because the Blueflame brand is more expensive than others.
One thing I was told to look for was the end of the log, and make sure the end of the log was not white in color. I did not think that would be a big deal because it would evenutally turn black, but from what I was told if its white now it will continue to look white, which is not natural looking.
